How does Baru achieve such low pricing?

Typically, up to 40% of cabinet industry revenues are wasted on non-manufacturing-related distribution costs such as inbound freight, packaging, warehousing overhead, handling, damage, and inventory obsolescence. Those non-value-adding costs increase the price that customers pay. Baru eliminates most of those costs by manufacturing on-demand with local manufacturers nationwide. In addition, Baru's digital manufacturing instructions allow for easy and efficient customization of the customers' cabinets, allowing manufacturing partners to achieve higher machine utilization with little organizational time and effort.

I’ve been to several showrooms and none of them had what I was looking for. What are the chances that Baru will?

Most dealers work with a few cabinet companies that don’t allow much choice in materials or customization. Baru cabinets are different. We make them to order using panels we get straight from the manufacturer. This means we can use almost any material from local suppliers, but we stick to the best ones to keep quality high across the country. Check out our material selection page for popular materials available near you. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, email us at info@hellobaru.com for a custom price quote.

What options are there for Doors and Drawer Fronts?

We’re glad you asked! Baru’s extensive network of supplier partners allows us to offer virtually any style Doors and Drawer Fronts in practically any material and finish available! It’s a lot of options, so we’ve broken it down into these three broad categories: Thermally-Fused Laminates (TFL) and other Pre-Finished Panels: Flat, pre-finished and often textured panels are cut to size, then banded with matching (or contrasting) edgebanding. The world of pre-finished panels offers a huge range of options from the least expensive plain white, through an extensive selection of colors, patterns and woodgrains, to real wood veneers and impressively textured and realistic stone, antique wood and other patterns, all combined with unmatched durability and ease of cleaning. An added bonus is that these doors and panels are processed in the same facility along with your cabinet parts for maximum efficiency and lowest cost. Laminated surfaces from Wilsonart, Formica, Pionite, and other manufacturers are also available. Rigid Thermofoil (RTF): Another durable, one-piece option that is not limited to flat slab styles, Thermofoil also offers a wide range of colors, patterns and wood grains, including the new high-gloss and ultra-matte finishes, all of which can be combined with any number of door styles including Shaker, Raised Panel, Mitered and even Applied Molding. Another huge advantage of RTF doors is the ability to exactly match a previous order, even years later. Painted or Stained Wood: When it has to be the real thing, we have you covered! Our vendor partners specialize in producing the highest quality doors, drawer fronts, moldings and related parts available, using state-of-the-art finishes in controlled, factory environments. This includes everything from sequence-matched or reclaimed wood veneer panels, to traditional Raised Panel, Shaker, and Applied Molding doors and drawer fronts. The beauty of Baru’s system is that you can combine any of these door styles and finishes with unlimited custom-sizing for truly custom-made cabinets made easy! Please read on for more extensive information about all three categories, and please note we can’t guarantee that every option shown on every link will be currently available.
